"Where we are not, we feel good. In the past, we are no longer there and it appears so beautiful to us."
Anton Čechov
Three girls are intent on clearing out memories within their childhood storage boxes. Each of them will discover old memories and tales of lived experiences that will give rise to memories of collective events: 9/11, the Iraq war, the collapse of Lehman Brothers, the death of Lady Diana, Big Brother and the television events of the 90s and 2000s.
The three performers, while reorganizing these storage boxes filled with historic life events, will choose which memories to get rid of, and which ones to keep.
The production is an investigation aimed at reconstructing a personal and collective memory, at analysing our insecurities, anxieties and fears, to try to understand if they have a common matrix. What makes us part of the same community? How are we different from previous and subsequent generations? How do we relate to the future?
The remembrance of a collective memory is always inextricably linked to the story of a private, sometimes traumatic experience.
